metro:suite was founded by Chelsea, a visual artist and designer with a background in illustration, digital design, album artwork, and greeting card design. Drawing on experience in the wholesale giftware and greeting card industry, including with La La Land, as well working with customers in retail environments, I built metro:suite after finding a gap in the greeting card market.

metro:suite offers an authentic and unique alternative from homogenised mass-produced commercial design - allowing maximalist, contemporary, trend-forward and intentional artwork to make a return to the market. I particularly enjoy creating visuals that truly connect with people based on cult/niche aesthetics and nostalgic design, and celebrating distinct feeling and uniqueness in everyday commercial products. 

Developing thoughtful, small-run, artist-led design in a world that’s becoming oversaturated with AI junk and mass consumption has also inspired me, and it’s fulfilling to be part of the movement back to enjoying quality goods and art made with purpose by an independent artist.
